Pencil Spaces Platform

How Online Lessons Work

All lessons take place on Pencil Spaces (pencilspaces.com), an interactive platform with video calls and shared whiteboards. Students create a free account and can join from home with just a laptop and camera.

  • Real-time collaboration with instant feedback
  • Interactive whiteboard for working through problems
  • Easy scheduling around other activities
  • All homework completed and marked on the platform

Small Group Lessons (Maximum 6 Students)

I only take on small groups, with a maximum of 6 students. Students will be grouped with students working at and aiming for a similar grade. The atmosphere in group lessons can be fantastic, as students often encourage and learn from each other as they experience similar issues. Generally, a question from one student can benefit the whole class. Students work with others at their level in a collaborative environment. Each student has their own private whiteboard while benefiting from group discussion and peer learning.

Will my child get enough attention? Yes - each student works on their own whiteboard and receives individual feedback, while enjoying the relaxed group atmosphere.

Will there be homework? Yes, homework is set each week and will be completed and marked on pencil spaces.

1:1 Lessons

1:1 Lessons

Completely personalised sessions with lesson plans tailored specifically to your child's needs and goals. Perfect for students who want focused attention or have specific areas to work on.

While highly effective, some students find 1:1 lessons intense, which is why small group lessons are also available as a more relaxed alternative.
